our love story

Ryan and Alexa met at Liberty University back in October, 2014.  They hit it off right from the start!  Two months later, Ryan asked Alexa out and they become "official" on April 6, 2015.  The next two and a half years were amazing as they continued to get to know each other and begin seriously discussing their future.

Fast forward to September 18, 2017, when Alexa's family, Ryan, and Alexa were in the Outer Banks for a family vacation.  There was a family photo session scheduled for the second day they were there. Little did Alexa know, it was actually intended to be a surprise proposal.  With the photographer snapping away, Ryan dropped to one knee and asked Alexa to be his wife!  Obviously, she said "YES!!!" and there were definitely happy tears involved.  Their wedding is set for April 8, 2018, exactly 3 years and 2 days after they began officially dating.
